For the pass several weeks, PURR has been on lockdown. It's just me out here at the lodge and a steady stream of campers. I'm finding out that RVers and travelers need affordable places to hunker down during rainy and cold seasons. I'm happy that PURR can still operate and be of service even in limited capacity.
I have been spending my time during lockdown designing and constructing the PURRADOME greenhouse panel prototypes. It's going well, and I'm happy with how the panels are turning out.
I used wood pallet boards to construct the frame and greenhouse film (agtec) for the side wrappings. The panel is dual panes and is quite sturdy.
Next step is attaching them to the metal geodesic dome structure. I have taken the dome down from outside and will be reassembling it inside the lodge, so I can do more precise measurements and work during rainy days.
With the COVID surge during these holidays, I'm not holding my breath for Washington State to lift the lockdown any time soon. Until COVID lightens up and the state lifts the lockdown, it's gonna be a one man build party.
