PURR REIMAGINED! 5 Year Reunion

Intention:

PURR is hosting a 3 days, 2 nights pre burn campout, that is participatory and accessible to all who have been to our venue, as well as new guests, to share our collective stories and celebrate a reimagined vision of our venue for years to come.

Theme:

At PURR, change is a vibrant force fueled by the diverse individuals and groups that weave their art and energy into our space.  PURR Reimagined! is about giving ourselves permission to recreate our image and explore what is possible in a changing world.

As PURR takes a 5 year reassessment and redefine itself, we invite you to give yourself permission to do the same.  For a weekend, explore your untapped potentials, play a different character, learn a new dance, make new friends or reconnect with lost ones.  Allow yourself to move, change perspectives, and experience the world differently.

Guidelines:

1. This event has a mix of Burning Man principles and newly created PURR principles, chiefly among them is everyone is a participant in the co-creation.    You are the show.  Come and share yourself, your gift, music, art, dance, workshops, etc. Your presence and participation are considered gifts.   PURR is not producing a show/spectacle for you to consume. PURR is only there to provide a safe container for everyone to play in.
2. Parity (new PURR principle) - All participants, talents, gifts are equal within the container (whether you are a dancer or DJ, cook or food taster, creator or observer)  All are needed equally for the experience to manifest.
3. Accessibility (new PURR principle) - We want the event to be accessible to as many attendants as the container allows.  One of the criticisms of the big burn is that it's only for rich people.  We are keeping our event price low for a 3 day 2 night campout at $75.  With early bird, registered performers, at $50.  And low income at $35.
4. Fundraiser - This event is a fundraiser for a couple of exciting PURR projects that we are planning for 2024.  One is for the construction of a covered outdoor space that can be used for dance, yoga, workshops. The second is for the construction of a rage room.
